Now I’ll tell you about another hidden feature in Yahoo! messenger which allows having Tabs in Yahoo! messenger conversation/Chat windows just like a web browser tabs. You can chat with several friends in a single window using tabs.
Follow these steps:
- Go to Start ==> Run. Type regedit and then enter.
- Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER ==> Software ==> yahoo ==> pager.
- On the right pane, right-click and choose new ==> Dword value.
- Rename it as Tabbed IM.
- Double click and assign a decimal value of 1.
That’s it done!! Now close registry and restart Yahoo! Messenger. Finally…
I have only tested this trick in Yahoo! messenger v8.1, so can’t confirm whether it works in other versions or not. Also you might face a few GUI glitches which can be fixed by maximizing/minimizing the chat window.
