Some programs crash (very few) once in a while and I was wondering if reapplying service pack 3 would fix any of this. Or a Windows Repair?

There is a version issue with sp3 and the windows installer 3.1 which could be causing this, simply re register your windows installer by typing this in the run box and pressing enter:

regsvr32 wups2.dll

This will re register windows installer and may clear that up, if it doesn’t and your computer hasn’t been reformatted in the past 2 years then it may be a good idea to start over. Naturally you’ll need a retail copy of windows for this procedure, get xp not vista! Removing sp3 is not a good idea as it patches several security holes in windows.
